Tulip Shadows

I always travel up to Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in the spring to photograph the tulips.

There's a lots of tulip fields. You need the Tulip Map to find them all.

On this particular day I was wandering in this tulip field and just could not find my shot.

I was wanting to photograph lots of rows of colorful tulips.

And all I had here was a lot of dirt.

I remember just standing there staring at rows and rows of dirt.

And then it struck me. There were shadows on the dirt.

Well, you can finish the story. I spent the next hour shooting tulip shadows.
