Quiet Stream

I found this spot along the Stevens Pass Highway in October a few years ago..

The colors were just brilliant. These colors have NOT been amplified in Photoshop. This is how it really looks!

As you drive down the pass there are a number of places you can pull off the road. The stream runs beside the highway.

This spot is not obvious. I was wandering along the stream at one stop and noticed a lot of color around the stream bend.

Being curious I scambled off the path and followed the stream until it opened up here.

The stream widens here. The water looks like it's standing still.

I've since learned that many professional nature photographers know exactly where this site is!

This one earned me the Top Nature Photo of the Year in 2007 with the NW Photographic Society.

It was featured in the International Photo Exhibition at the Puyallup State Fair.

I've also sold many large framed editions.
